Mike Wise, Insurance Technology Expert, Appointed to PIMA Board of Directors

March 9, 2009 - IdeaStar’s Mike Wise, also known as Mr. Insurance Tech, was appointed to the Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) Board of Directors during the organization’s recent annual meeting. Mike, who is serving a three-year term, is one of only two business partners on the Board. All other members represent either agencies or companies in the insurance industry.

“I’m excited to serve the association in this way, to help make PIMA the association of choice for association, affinity, and worksite insurance marketing professionals. My perspective as a business partners gives me unique insights, and I will of course keep an eye on things from the Web technology perspective,” Mike said. He was appointed to lead the Communications and Technology Committee – a group focused on the use of technology to enhance the external and internal communications of PIMA.

Mike, IdeaStar Vice President of Insurance Technology, promotes the use of Web-based tools to enhance the insurance marketing process. IdeaStar is at the forefront of the insurance automation business, and is known for designing, developing, promoting and maintaining online solutions for the insurance industry. 

Another honor was also awarded to Mike during the PIMA meeting. Outgoing PIMA President Paul Latchford presented him with the Presidential Distinguished Service Award. The award is given for outstanding contribution by a member for the advancement of the association. Mike’s service as a three-time PIMA MarkeTTech Tri-Chair, his guidance on the use of Linkedin for the association, and his persistent photography of PIMA events were noted.
