Mike Wise Speaker at ACT Strategic Future Issues Planning Meeting

February 9, 2009 - Mike Wise, IdeaStar’s Vice President of Insurance Technologies, will present "Making Sense of Social Media" at the ACT Strategic Future Issues Planning Meeting February 13 in Tampa.

The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) is part of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA) and provides “a candid, action-oriented forum to address the critical workflow and technology issues facing the Independent Agency System.”

The theme for Mike’s presentation is "Why insurance professionals need to make time for Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and other social networks and media.  A behind the scenes look at Social Networks and Social Media and how they are transforming the way prospects and customers interact with marketers." 

Agents need to understand the importance of using these new tools for connecting with prospective, as well as current, clients, Mike says. "It can be a real gold mine."
