Insurance Tech Guru Mike Wise Speaking at 2009 PIMA Annual Meeting
February 17, 2009 - IdeaStar insurance technology guru Mike Wise is heading west to the Professional Insurance Marketing Association ( PIMA ) Annual Meeting, February 26 through March 1 in Phoenix. PIMA is a networking and business development forum for leaders in the insurance direct marketing arena – those serving the affinity/sponsored marketplace.
Mike, a PIMA member, will be part of a panel discussion entitled Affinity Marketing Strategies and Trends Revealed. He will join other PIMA member marketing experts to discuss cutting edge affinity marketing strategies and trends, including social networking, analytics, and multi-channel marketing.
“The growing use of the Internet is expanding into and changing the way insurance companies do business, especially in the direct marketing arena,” Mike said. “It’s amazing how some services as simple as Twitter and Linkedin can have a major impact for those who know how to use them. It’s so important for companies to include social networking now in their technology mix.”
Mike added he hopes to have a meaningful discussion about Web sites, Web marketing, and affinity portals - an idea whose time has come. “The social Web is really taking off, and affinity marketers are perfectly positioned if they embrace the opportunity.” Mike will be “tweeting” the conference using #PIMA under the name @mikewise07.
